چکیده

Mankind consumes as many fossil fuels per year nature produced during a million years. Furthermore, energy consumption has tripled in the last 60 years, and is expected to be doubled 2050, due technological economic takeoff of large emerging powers. In light this scenario, change policies should aimed promote efficiency use sustainable resources, such bioenergy, safely environmental friendly. Biomass take main role EU's climate policies, at reducing CO2 emissions combating Climate Change. Quality control biofuels knowledge their characteristics reach relevance any industrial application based on biofuels. NIRS technology (near infrared spectroscopy, Near Infrared Reflectance Spectroscopy) interaction between electromagnetic radiation material, now presented an encouraging tool for quality testing solid biofuels, since it non-destructive much faster cheaper analytical technique than traditional ones, which are current ISO standards. That appears spectral vibrations (energy absorption or absorbance) that properly processed, allowing measure most important physical-chemical properties fast, simple way. Wood pellet highest biofuel biomass market, regulated by ENplus® certification scheme European-wide, ensuring product consumers. Low heating value parameter biofuel, strongly linked total moisture content, so key factor pelletizing process. The original research carried out work allows present development prediction model wood pellets, range values 5 – 10 %, providing more automated methodology control, both production plants pellets power with fuel. brain near-infrared spectroscopy (nirs)

near-infrared spectroscopy (nirs) is a spectroscopic method that uses the near-infrared region of the electromagnetic spectrum. typical applications include medical and physiological diagnostics. nirs can be used for non-invasive assessment of brain function through the intact skull in human subjects by detecting changes in blood hemoglobin concentrations associated with neural activity, e.g., ...

Near Infrared Spectroscopy (NIRS)

Near infrared spectroscopy (NIRS) is a noninvasive optical technology that relies on the relative transparency of biological tissues to near infrared light (700-900 nm) to determine tissue oxygenation. Oxy and deoxy hemoglobin and cytochrome aa3 possess distinct absorption characteristics in the near infrared spectrum. By monitoring absorption at wavelengths where oxyand deoxyhemoglobin and cyt...

Development of near infrared reflectance spectroscopy (NIRS) calibration model for estimation of oil content in a worldwide safflower germplasm collection

The development of NIRS calibration model as a rapid, precise, robust, and cost-effective method to estimate oil content in ground seeds of worldwide safflower germplasm collection grown under different agro-climatic conditions was the key objective of this research project. The oil content was measured by accelerated solvent extraction method in a total of 328 samples collected across 2004 (16...

Foliage moisture content and spectral characteristics using near infrared reflectance spectroscopy (NIRS)

Foliage moisture content (FMC in % dry-weight) was measured in seven Mediterranean evergreen species during summer 2001. All samples were dried, ground and scanned using a NIR spectrophotometer. Two methods of calibration for FMC were compared, one using stepwise regression on selected wavelengths and the other using partial least squares (PLS) regression that takes into account all the spectra...

Prediction of starch content in meatballs using near infrared spectroscopy (NIRS)

Meatballs are a popular food in Asian countries. A good quality consists of low starch. In this study, the quality of meatballs was evaluated by starch content using short and long-wavelength near infrared spectroscopy (NIRS). The result found that long-wavelength NIRS can predict starch contents in all kinds of meatballs. The model of beef meatballs showed a high coefficient of multiple determ...
